This will be a long one....

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, bear with me and read this entire post. It is VERY difficult in 30 seconds to tell you all of this at Church, and due to the limited announcement time the information being passed along is getting misunderstood. Also, the sidebar will be updated within 5 min of me posting this, so all of the activities for the month will be listed to the right. Some fun new activities will be listed there over the coming months!!! :)

1. We are in need of fabric and batting that measures at least 47” x 62” (we will cut it down if larger) to make baby quilts to send to Salt Lake City for the Humanitarian efforts. We will be tying them at the October Super Saturday. Please give any fabric and batting to someone on the Enrichment Committee (Sisters McClellan, Gudmundsen, or J. Handley) before October so that we can try to find fabric if none is donated.
2. Please donate any fabric that you have that is at least 22” x 11” for the Manual Covers we will be making at Super Saturday in October. Please bring this fabric in and give it to one of the Enrichment Committee members before October so that if necessary we can try to find adequate fabric in time if not enough is donated. This is a great way to get rid of unneeded fabric pieces!!!
3. This is a reminder that the Play Group meets every Thursday –weather permitting- at the Wyoming Park at 0900 hours.
4. We have not had anyone sign up to host the Food Storage/Preparedness group for September or any of the remaining months in the year. The person who hosts is responsible for deciding what is going to be discussed/taught and for doing so. If you want to find someone to tag-team with, then one of you can host and one of you can "teach", but you need to let us know this. This has been a very popular group, and we will not be able to have it if no one is willing to be the host. The great thing is that you get to pick the topic – you just need to run it by the Enrichment Leader (Sis McClellan) – mostly so that it can be “advertised”. This group meets on the 4th Thursday each month so if you can host, please let us know! In November and December it will be on the 3rd Thursday due to holidays. We would like to schedule the rest of the year. Please let me know if you would like to host!!!!
5. Please remember to check the binders at Church about school supplies that need to be collected prior to the Super Saturday in October. We need people to sign up to bring in specific items to make the School Kits to send to needy children around the world. Now is when school supplies are on sale and most of the items on the list are under a dollar each, so please help as you can. You can sign up to bring more than one of an item, but please put your name in each spot so that there is no confusion. If you want to bring 2 sets of pencils, for example, please sign your name twice. Bring them to church to drop them off for Super Saturday whenever you purchase them. Please do not wait until Super Saturday because we will have to purchase what we are lacking prior to then.
6. Lastly, remember to be looking around your house, or call your mother, to find a baby picture of yourself between the ages of 0 and 2 years. We would like you to specifically find a picture when you were at one of these ages. We need it before September 8th if possible. Please give it to Sis McClellan, Sis Gudmundsen or Sis J. Handley. You can also bring it to the meeting if you arrive with it a couple of minutes early. If you will not be attending the Quarterly Enrichment Meeting on September 8th, then you don’t need to supply a picture.

Quarterly Enrichment Meeting

Don't miss out on this quarter's Enrichment meeting!!! The focus of the meeting is "The Worth of a Soul".

When: September 8th (as originally announced), at 6:30 pm
Where: At Church
Dress: Something that YOU are comfortable in, and tells us a little more about you too.

Dessert and childcare will be provided.


********PLEASE NOTE********

In Relief Society on August 30th (next Sunday) you will be given the invitation to the Enrichment meeting and along with it a standard brown lunch bag. In this brown bag you are to place one item that tells us something about yourself that we may not already know. Hopefully it's something that can be of a surprise to even those that know you best. It needs to be of a size to fit in the bag, so get creative!!!! If you don't receive the brown lunch bag, simply put your item in your own bag, keeping the size in mind - it should fit into a brown lunch bag.

Additionally, PLEASE BRING A BABY PICTURE OF YOURSELF BETWEEN THE AGES OF 0-2 years, with your name on the back of the picture either directly on the back or on a post-it on the back so that we can return it to you and know who the picture is of. These pictures can be given to either Sis Marie McClellan, Sis Lori Gudmundsen, or Sis Julie Handley at Church on Sunday (or any other time you run into us). They can also be brought to the meeting, just make sure you're a couple of minutes early so that we can incorporate it into the guessing game we will be displaying them for.
