You will choose 2 activities from the following 4 activities - one for the "morning session" and one for the "afternoon session". When you are done with your project during each session, there will be school bags to "stuff" with school supplies, and quilts to tie (a great opportunity to learn how to tie a quilt if you don't know how!!). Both of these projects will be sent to SLC for the humanitarian aid efforts.
Morning Choices (9:00 am - 10:30 am):
Pot Holder 1st Aid Kit (This will be one of the projects that costs money to do - it will cost you the price of a rectangular pot holder that has a loop in the middle of one of the short sides. )
You will have bring with you to Super Saturday the pot holder that you purchased to make your First Aid kit with - there will not be any provided by the Relief Society. The RS will provide baggies and a few of the items you might want to put in your kit along with the button that will need to be sewn on at Super Saturday to keep your kit closed. This is a fun project to learn how to do and give as a gift.

Visiting Teaching Reminder Refrigerator Magnet (This project will be free to make.)
The below picture is a VERY bad example of what we will be making, but it's to give you an idea. We will have two wooden hearts, one larger than the other. The larger heart we will decoupage with an image of a little sheep (much cuter than this one if I do say so myself ;) ). The smaller heart we will hang from a string from the larger heart and we will paint it red and write "Fed" and "Hungry" on either side. This project is one you will be able to keep for years to come to use to keep on top of your Visiting Teaching.

Afternoon Choices (11:30 am - 1:00 pm):
Family Home Evening Book (The book costs $7.95 and this price will increase slightly if we have to pay shipping. If fewer than 13 people take part in this project, we will have to pay shipping.)
This project will include coloring 52 images (approx. 2" x 2") that coordinate with each of the 52 lessons and cutting them out to place into bags. This project will give you a whole year's worth of Family Home Evening ideas and it's perfect for use for a couple with no children in the home or a family with several children. The lessons are easy to use and even have a suggested song also listed. Please see Sis. Greenstreet if you would like to thumb through her copy of this book. We will have to know how many of you want to do this activity by the 1st of October and have the money in hand to place the order by then so that the books have time to ship and arrive here for Super Saturday. Look for the sign-up at Church.
Batik Wall Hanging (This option will be free.)
*Our hanging will be slightly smaller the one in the magazine's tutorial.* The project is a little time-consuming and to allow for us to be able to do it at the Super Saturday, 24 hours ahead of time the Enrichment Committee will draw images on the Muslin for those who are in the class. For those of you who don't want the Enrichment Committee to draw your images for you (there will be a variety of images that the Committee is going to draw - not just leaves as in the example) and you would like to make your images on your hanging exactly as you want (there's nothing wrong with either way - you doing it, or the Committee), you will need to get your muslin from Sis. Gudmundsen prior to Super Saturday (more than likely the Sunday before, but possibly sooner than that) and complete the first steps of drawing your images in Washable Glue yourself. See the tutorial for the project here: http://jas.familyfun.go.com/crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=12274 This project will be a fun one to learn how to do and will brighten up your home as it hangs on your wall.
